I absolutely loved the cozy ambiance of the hotel's decoration. The polished wood floors, exposed beams, and wrought iron furnishings in the living room created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The large entrance hall with plenty of space to leave our shoes after a long day of exploring was also a nice touch. As a senior woman, I found the general areas of the hotel very accessible, with wide hallways and comfortable seating areas throughout.
One thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is improved communication from the staff. The children working there seemed a bit overwhelmed and sometimes forgot to inform us about important details or events happening in the area.

I always stay at my favorite place in Cirencester. They have everything I need - Wi-Fi, parking, kettle, TV. The staff once gave me water at night! So thoughtful. I'll be back for Christmas!

Great location, close to village amenities and a short drive to popular attractions. The cottage is well-equipped with everything you need, including a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. The garden is a lovely spot to relax, with buzzing bees and plenty of space. The cottage is also very quiet, perfect for a peaceful getaway.
There were a few drawbacks. Some areas of the cottage felt a bit dated and could use an upgrade.

The room in Cotswold Cottage was absolutely stunning! It had a modern and contemporary feel with stylish furniture like the ornamental fireplace and the glass dining table. It was so spacious, giving us plenty of room to unwind and relax after a busy day exploring. The downstairs WC was also a convenient addition.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the free-standing wine cooler. But hey, everyone has different tastes, so others might still enjoy it!

The cottage had all the entertainment amenities I could dream of - flat-screen TV, DVD player, CD player, iPod docking station. And let's not forget the delightful private garden, perfect for BBQs and dining al fresco.
Oh, and the bathroom? It was just like a luxurious spa.

I absolutely loved the charming decor of the cottage, it made me feel right at home. The living room with its exposed beams and polished wood floor had a lovely, understated elegance. The large entrance hall was perfect for leaving my shoes after a long day exploring the Cotswolds. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the general areas, especially the easy access from the lane into the cottage.
I would have liked better accommodation for senior people in terms of accessibility. It would have been helpful if there were handrails in the bathrooms or any other areas where extra support might be needed.

The cottage was way bigger than we expected and had such a cool vibe. The owners even left us some snacks and drinks which we totally devoured. The location was super rad too, with loads of awesome walks and pubs nearby. Plus, we even found out they have a sick golf club and polo club nearby for some extra adventure!
The only thing we would ask for is a little more nightlife nearby. We had such a blast exploring during the day, but it would have been even cooler if there were some banging clubs or parties to hit up at night.

The cottage was larger than expected and had a homely atmosphere. The location was ideal for exploring, with many walks and great pubs nearby. The cottage was well stocked with utensils and equipment, had a lovely garden, and comfortable beds with nice linen and towels.
Phone reception in the area was not great, and the WiFi only worked in the living area where the router was located.

I absolutely adored the charming and cozy atmosphere of the cottage. The living room, with its exposed beams and polished wood floor, felt like a warm and inviting space where I could relax and unwind. The interior decor, done in neutral tones, created a sense of tranquility and elegance. It was also wonderful to have a spacious entrance hall, perfect for taking off my shoes after a long day exploring the beautiful Cotswolds. The cottage was accessible for senior people like me, with everything conveniently located on the ground floor.
My only suggestion for improvement would be to have a little table lamp or mood lighting in the lounge. It would have been nice to have a softer, more ambient lighting option, especially in the evenings.

The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and the BBQ in the garden was a plus. The property in Coln St Aldwyns was truly breathtaking, capturing the charm of the Cotswolds. It was ideal for our family wedding with spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. We loved the outdoor facilities and wish we could have stayed longer. The decoration of the cottage was absolutely charming, with its polished wood floors and exposed beams. It felt cozy and inviting, like stepping into a storybook home. The general areas were well-maintained and clean, and the beautiful garden provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the cottage was easily accessible, with no steps to navigate and plenty of space to move around comfortably.
One small improvement for a better vacation for senior people would be to have more handrails and grab bars in the bathrooms. The children working there were helpful, but this addition would provide extra support and safety for seniors.
